Our Local and World Outreach

Abilene

In addition to our regular support of local organizations and individuals, we also reach our community with food, clothing and housing needs. Through the Houses for Healing program we have built and maintain a home for emergency responders’ families while one of their family members is receiving care at Hendricks. We, like other churches, have Vacation Bible programs to introduce the Love of Christ to our neighboring community. Additionally we join with other churches in promotion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Along with Wylie Methodist Church and a long standing relationship with Mount Zion 1st Baptist Church, we promote non denominational extension of the Good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Texas

In partnership with the Texas Cooperative Program and the Big Country Baptist Assembly, Wylie Baptist promotes the growth of church and Christian education programs that accomplish the continuing efforts to spread the teaching and work of evangelism throughout the state. Through these programs and their associated ministries, Wylie Baptist has been able to reach far beyond our own city and into many areas we would not have had the opportunity to minister. We continue to seek ever growing outreach until all have heard the Good News of Jesus.

The United States

Our efforts to send the message of Jesus Christ to all around us has enabled us to support missionaries across the country and provide both spiritual and physical assistance of many of our fellow citizens. By helping with the Disaster relief programs of our state, we have been able to send workers to several states to assist in recovery from past and recent storm, fire and flood damaged homes. We continue to see opportunities to reach out to those in need to provide both physical and Spiritual blessing wherever they may be. Every opportunity is taken to promote the necessity of Spiritual relationship and growth along with the physical help.

The World

Missions outreach has always been a priority for the members of Wylie Baptist. From the early establishment of the first congregation until this present time, world evangelism has always been among the forefront of our efforts. Through the faithful giving of our members, Wylie Baptist has been able to provide monthly financial aid and material support to missionary efforts across the globe. In addition to the voluntary gifts to missions by our congregation, a monthly portion of the church budget is set aside for missions and missionary focused organizations. Wylie continues to seek new opportunities to spread the Gospel of salvation available in Jesus Christ.
